The third quarter of 2022 presented an interesting landscape for the top carpooling and ridesharing apps in Germany. Here’s a closer look at the performance metrics for Bolt: Request a Ride, Uber - Request a ride, BlaBlaCar: Carpooling and Bus, MOIA in Hamburg & Hanover and Lyft.

Bolt: Request a Ride from BOLT TECHNOLOGY OU experienced a notable decline in weekly downloads, starting from around 64K at the end of June and dropping to approximately 39K by the end of September. Despite this, the app maintained a relatively stable number of weekly active users, fluctuating between 148K and 170K, with a peak towards the end of the quarter.

Uber - Request a ride by Uber Technologies, Inc. showed consistent weekly downloads, ranging from about 35K to 41K throughout the quarter. The app also sustained a high number of weekly active users, remaining above 540K and reaching nearly 599K by the last week of September.

BlaBlaCar: Carpooling and Bus from Comuto saw steady weekly downloads, peaking at around 14K in early September. The weekly active users for the app remained relatively stable, with slight fluctuations, averaging around 114K throughout the quarter.

MOIA in Hamburg & Hanover by MOIA GmbH observed a significant spike in weekly downloads in mid-September, reaching approximately 5.2K. Weekly active users also saw a notable increase during the same period, peaking at nearly 4.9K before stabilizing around 3.2K by the end of the quarter.

Lyft by Lyft, Inc. showed a gradual increase in weekly downloads, starting from around 1.3K in late June and peaking at nearly 2.4K in early September. Weekly active users followed a similar upward trend, beginning at approximately 13.5K and reaching up to 18.6K by mid-September.
